Emma Stone
Emily Jean Stone was born to Krista Jean
Stone and Jeffrey Charles Stone in Scottsdale, Arizona, on November 6 1988. She
is a homemaker. Jeffrey Charles Stone is the founder and CEO of the contracting
firm, Stone Contracting. She is of Swedish, German & British Isles
descent. Stone started acting in her early years as an Valley Youth Theatre
member in Phoenix, Arizona. She made her stage debut in the play of Kenneth
Grahame "The Wind in the Willows." In her teens, Stone was in a
variety of other shows until she decided to make acting her career. Officially,
she designed an PowerPoint presentation that was backed by Madonna's
"Hollywood" and titled "Project Hollywood", to convince her
parents to allow her to go to school and relocate to Los Angeles. After the
presentation was accepted the couple moved to LA. She continued to study at
home while auditioning. She made her TV breakthrough when she won the part of
Laurie Partridge in the VH1 Reality/Talent show In Search of the Partridge
Family (2004) which led to a number of smaller TV parts in the subsequent
years. Her movie debut was as Jules in Superbad (2007) and following a string
of impressive performances, her lead part as Olive in Easy A (2010) established
her as a leading actress. In Phoenix, Arizona, she was a student at Xavier
College Preparatory. While she's referred to as a redhead, her real hair shade
is blonde. Judd Apatow suggested that she change her hair color to be more in
line with Superbad (2007). The actress loved it so much, she decided to keep
the color. When she was 15 she convinced her parents she could go to Hollywood.
She made this happen by making a PowerPoint presentation called Project
Hollywood. She started acting when she was 11 years old in Phoenix's Valley
Youth Theatre. Here, she starred on over 16 stages as well as performed in the
theatre's comedy improv group. Caylee Cowan was also an actor at Valley Youth
Theatre.
